Statement
The Parents' Alliance is committed to River
Valley Charter School by serving our teachers and children
through classroom assistance, building our community through
school-wide activities, and supporting our school through
fund-raising events.
When your child attends River Valley Charter
School, you are a member of the community we call the Parents'
Alliance. This is a school-wide body consisting of all of
the parents of children enrolled in the school. Everyone is
a member. As a part of our charter, parents are asked to contribute
40 hours of their time each academic year to benefit the school.
The Parents' Alliance coordinates and tracks these efforts.
Our Parents' Alliance is integral to the child-teacher-parent
triangle of learning. Within the Alliance, we center our activities
around our triangle of goals: community, service, and support.
We eagerly welcome every parent's contribution of time, effort,
and ideas.
We are looking forward to continuing to serve
our school through our community service, classroom support,
and fund-raising efforts. Please share your talents and enthusiasm
with us. We welcome your input and viewpoints.
