Tampa Catholic High School

River Valley Charter School raises funds to support the goals, purposes, and programs of the school.

Like all public schools, River Valley receives per-pupil funding from the state of Massachusetts. As a charter school and an authentic Montessori school, is necessary for us to seek supplemental funding from grants, fundraisers, and our family community.

Why?  Because:

  • Outfitting authentic Montessori classrooms requires an investment in specially designed and expensive materials.
  • With two Montessori-trained Guides in every classroom, we have increased costs for salaries and benefits.
  • Unlike district schools, we self-fund our facility, which is a significant portion of our operating costs.
  • We are growing and must balance the need to build a reserve fund with the continual need to add talented faculty, facility space, and materials.

The River Valley Charter School Foundation, a 501(c)3 organization, has been established for the purpose of raising funds for the school. This work is carried out through the Development Committee of the Board of Trustees.

The Development Committee holds an annual appeal as well as other fundraising efforts. The RVCS Foundation, Inc. grants funds back to the school to cover costs associated with field trips, Montessori materials, music and art programming, and other educational projects. Donations are essential to River Valley's ability to provide an exceptional Montessori education to its public-school students.

Please consider a donation to the River Valley Charter School Foundation, Inc. We are grateful for your financial support and your active participation in our community.
